The Norwegian Institute for Agricultural and Environmental Research (Bioforsk) has its main focus on safe food production, clean environment and increased value development. The Institute targets long-term resource management, internationalisation and a holistic contact with end-users. Bioforsk’s headquarter is located at Campus Ås, about 30 km south of Oslo, but the Institute has divisions in all main Norwegian regions.
The Bioforsk Plant Health and Plant Protection Division has the overall Norwegian national responsibility for R&D activities within plant health and plant protection. The most important research tasks in this context are linked to environmental friendly and efficient combat of plant pests in order to ensure plant products of high quality and safe food. Research activities also include strategic core research related to plant pests.
